Classic Books Lecture Series
Join us on Thursday, February 18, for our first Classic Books Lecture of the year as Professor Theresa Tinkle discusses "The Travels of Sir John Mandeville."  The suggested reading for the lecture is the Penguin Classic edition of the Travels of Sir. John Mandeville.  All lectures will be held at the Ewald Branch at 7 pm and are free for Friends members.  Cost is $10. for non-Friends members.  For a complete list of our lecture series click here.
Take Me Out to the Library - March 8

With Opening Day around the corner, come out and meet author, Charles Leerhsen, as he discusses his ground-breaking new book, Ty Cobb: A Terrible Beauty.  Leerhsen argues that the truths we think we know about Cobb are inaccurate and that these dark tales were spun after his death by an unreliable collaborator and biographer.  Join us for peanuts & Cracker Jacks, raffle prizes on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 7 pm at Ewald Library (15175 E. Celebrate Women's History Month with Saturday Afternoon at the Movies - March 12

Join us for a showing of the new movie "Suffragette," on Saturday, March 12, at 1 p.m., at the Woods Branch. The movie is about two hours long. Admission is FREE, but seating is limited.

Books, Bags and Bagels - March 19
Back by popular demand “BOOKS, BAGS AND BAGELS”. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, March 19, 2016, from 10 am till 1pm in the Woods branch lower level program room.  (Friends members get early admittance at 9:40). This is an event you don’t want to miss. We have bagels and coffee, great “Chick Lit” (books that women of all ages love) and the most outstanding offering of gently used handbags you could ever imagine. Names like Coach, Dooney, Michael Kors just to name a few. All bags range in price from $5.00 to $30.00 (most in the $5.00 range) it is time to clean those closetts. Donation boxes are at the Circulation desk at each branch.
