The Classic Books Lecture Series is back! The second lecture is, Thursday, March 5 featuring Professor Peggy McCracken. Prof. McCracken is an expert in French Medieval Studies at the Department of Romance Languages of the University of Michigan. The lecture is entitled, Friendship, Love, and Chivalry: Chrétien de Troyes’s Knight of the Lion (Chevalier au Lion). Knight of the Lion is available through the Michigan Electronic Library (MEL). Ask any of the Grosse Pointe librarians how to access this or click here to find the book. Don't forget that all lectures are at the Ewald Branch of the Grosse Pointe Public Library at 7 p.m. Friends' members are free. Non-friends pay $10.00.
