Border Crossings
On Wednesday, September 23rd, at the Woods Program Room, Author and GPW Librarian, Sandra Novacek, will discuss her book, “Border Crossings." This program is co-sponsored with AAUW Grosse Pointe.  Program begins at 7 pm.  To register for the program click here.
Halloween Costume Sale
The next Halloween Costume sale is on Saturday, October 3, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., and Sunday, October 4 from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Woods Program Room.  Donations are being accepted at all three branches of the Library.
On Thursday, October 8, from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Woods Program Room, the Friends are sponsoring a panel discussion on Harper Lee's controversial new novel, Go Set A Watchman.  Panelists will include Oakland University Professors, Alison Powell and Erin Dwyer, along with Keith Taylor, the A.L.Becker Collegiate Lecturer in English from the University of Michigan.  Seating is very limited so you are required to register. Gifts of the Season
Come out and support the Grosse Pointe Library on Saturday, November 7, at 9 a.m. at the Central Branch. There will be staff recommendations for holiday gifts as well as local artisans and businesses with holiday items for sale.  Should be lots of fun.
Tea Time Author Program
On Saturday, November 14, the Friends is co-sponsoring the Tea Time Author Program featuring authors Melanie Benjaman, Janna Blum, and Pamela Jenoff at the Ford House.
